Marlborough Sounds
Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Miro Bay is Mamuku cottage. A private 2-bedroom self-contained cottage. Two double bedrooms with 2 extra single beds, catering for groups up to 6, with a fully equipped kitchen.
A short track leads to the main house which also has a spare queen room for extra guests. Although Mamuku Cottage is self-contained, most guests choose to dine in the main house, to take advantage of one of the fully catered packages, brought to you by the very hospitable hosts, Greg and Kath, although the choice is yours.
The adventure starts from collection at the airport, with an optional vineyard tour, to where the adventure to the ‘boat only access’ to the secluded Miro Bay. (Don’t worry there is power, ice, phone coverage and SKY TV for those that need to stay in touch with the outside world).
Your time once there, is yours for the picking – from a magical bush walk to the peaks of the hills then relaxing in an endless running hot bath under the stars. For more action there is diving, snorkelling, fishing options – or perhaps cruising the sounds alongside the mystical dolphins and on the occasion, sharing the waterways with a whale or two. Greg, a Professional Skipper, knows these waters better than most and can usually place you ‘on the spot’. For a Lads or Ladies breakaway or a family adventure, you won’t be disappointed, but don’t take our word for it….
